" the most commercial, you have to spend money holiday there is"
a lot of people love valentine's day, a lot of people hate it. I am kind of in between. I like it because usually i have someone to share it with and also it means my -bday is right around the corner(yeeeaaaaa me!). but on the other hand, i have never really been able to be with someone i truly love and care about and the feelings be the same and on the same level. My father always told me, you shouldn't wait to one day in the year to show someone that you love and care about them. And I live by that. It is kind of shallow to only do something for someone, one day and totally forget about them the rest of the time.
Don't use valentine's day as a day to make up for all of the bullshit you have put someone thru. Use it as a day to do something that you wouldn't be able to do anytime else or to get that special gift that maybe you couldn't afford at Christmas time(y'all know y'all starting to get those refund checks!!!!lol)
Anytime I have dated someone I always told them to get me a b-day gift instead. My b-day is much more important to me. And if I got both it was just an added bonus!
For the people that hate v-day,it usually is because they never have one or love has not gone their way. Many people feel that they waste so much time on people that are not the ones for them. or they feel that when it is the right one it just doesn't go as they want it to.Love is something that you can't control. And for some people that is not easy to deal with. For those people I say, don't give up on love. It is out there for you,you just have to find it in the right one. And sometimes you can't back track to get it. Past relationships are past relationships for a reason.
So this v-day just remember
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear ... "~1 John 4:18~
