Just A thought.....

One of my friends wrote this blog on facebook, thought it was interesting and I would share it with the bloggger world......

Why Have We Forgotten!?As I sit here and peck away at yet another thought that I had, I am aware of the fact that my words often echo out into the vastness of cyber-space and I may ever know who it is that I may touch or effect. That's not what this thought is about though. The essence of this thought rests on the realization that as a people we have forgotten the struggles of our past, lavished ourselves in the pleasures of today and miss the fact that if we are not careful we will reap the dead harvest of what we sow today and that is nothing. The displays of willful ignorance sends chills down my spine. Both spiritual and mental, we have grown lazy and it affect our physical and financial lives. The battle begins in the mind, echoes in the soul and is made manifest in the hands and actions of men. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but might through God for the pulling down of strongholds... We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principlalities, spirits, powers and rulers in high places... Our battles stem from our past. Our battles dominate our present condition and conditioning. Our battles will conquer us in the future if we don't fight back. Sadly... I look about and see so few soldiers and so many battles to fight. No one feels it necessary any longer. No passion... No fury. So... To answer the question, why have we forgotten... We have forgotten, not because we are not blessed or we struggle and it seems for not; we have forgotten because we are so blessed and it was on the backs of those that came before us and not because of our blood, sweat and tears. We have traded freedom and it's great commission to continue to fight for all things material. We have traded the memories of our forefathers for the mirage of material gain, pop-culture movements and assumptions of peace. Wake up... We have been to the moutain top... We have surveyed the land... Now it's time to take what our forefathers meant for us to have... Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

One Final Thought

We live in a time when Mc Donald`s, Wendy`s, Coca Cola and other big names in industry have started putting rap and African American centered themes into thier maketing. Why? Because we spend more money than any other race in America! Think about that. We only make up 12% percent of the population. No wonder we don`t have anything, we keep giving it away! It`s funny to see Arabs on T.V. trying to sell jewely using this African American marketing strategy, trying to talk like us, and yet can barely speak any English anyway. To put it in theoretic terms... They have learned to sell us, to us, better than us, because we don`t know us.
